Flowers made out of paper plates and construction paper

Celebrate the arrival of spring with your child with a colorful, fun “bouquet of flowers”!

Materials Needed:

  • Paper Plates (the thin uncoated ones work best).
  • Paint, markers, crayons, etc.
  • Different colored construction paper
  • Glue or tape
  • Scissors (for adults or older kids)
  • Optional: stickers, pompoms, etc to use for flower centers.

First let your child paint or color the paper plate with a bright color (or leave white if they choose). Cut out construction paper into petal shapes (can precut these for small children. Younger children can also tear their petals or use colored tissue paper for their flowers.

Use pompom, sticker or crayons to create the center of each flower. Hang the masterpieces on your refrigerator to brighten up your kitchen!
