Kiwanis Day Care center provides healthy, nutritious meals and snacks each day according to the West Virginia Department of Education, Child Nutrition Program. For children over 12 months old, we use the following schedule:

  • Breakfast: 8 am to 8:30 am
  • Lunch: 11:15 to 11:45 am
  • Snack: 2:15 to 2:45 pm

Children who arrive after meal times will not be fed, so please feed them before arriving.  Children 12 months and younger are fed on “demand” feeding schedule.

Check your child’s newsletter for our weekly menu. Menus are also posted outside the kitchen.

Please do not bring food from home, unless your child is a Pre-K student. We are not a completely nut-free zone, but we limit them to the classes that do not have such allergies. If your child has any special dietary requirements, restrictions or allergies, please be sure to provide proper medical documentation.

Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns about our food program.
