Getting you child to tell you about their day at daycare or in school can be challenging. After a few answers of “fine,” “ok,” and “not bad,” parents can get frustrated and want to learn more about what’s happening.
Instead of asking your child, “How was your day?”, try asking:
- What made you smile today?
- Who did you play with?
- What was the most fun thing you did?
- What did you learn today?
Sometimes asking a different question can lead to some wonderful conversations!
